Nelson College Scriptorium/Museum
Nelson College Scriptorium/Museum
The Nelson College Museum/Scriptorium houses an impressive display of memorabilia from the College’s 160 year history, and with our Archives now catalogued and preserved it is a pride of place in which we can now showcase this rich history to our current students, College community and visiting Old Boys.
The Museum has joined with the Nelson/Tasman Heritage Collections Network, and we try to keep up-to-date with happenings and progress in this area.
We have had a great many Old Boys visit to date, and this is heartening to see. Those that have visited have been impressed by both the College and Memorabilia held within the Museum.
We continue to receive memorabilia from families both locally and internationally, along with books written by our Old Boys to replenish our Museum displays.
Archival research enquiries are received on an almost daily basis, again both locally and internationally and we are able to assist in most instances.
