It was a fantastic week for Keegan Hornblow, who was in the NZ team at the World Track Cycling Championships in Germany. With more than 40 countries competing over the five days, it was an awesome campaign with New Zealand finishing 2nd on the medals table and winning three world titles. Keegan was in the Men’s Team Pursuit who came in 4th after Germany, France and Russia, all of whom went on to break the previous world record in the finals.

Keegan also completed in the 3000m Individual Pursuit coming home in 9th, and finished 18th in the kilo (1000m Time Trial). Both rides were new personal best times. Keegan says he’s pretty happy with the results as it was his first time competing on the world stage, and now he’s more eager than ever to win a world title.
