International Enrolment & Fees

We welcome enquiries for enrolment

Follow the three steps below to start your education at Nelson College:

Step 1 – Application

Follow the ‘online enrolment form’ link to start your enrolment process.

Progress with your form can be saved, the information does not have to be completed and submitted in one sitting.

Step 2: Acceptance

If your application is successful we will send you:

  • a conditional offer of place letter
  • an invoice for fees

Step 3: Student Visa

When we receive payment of your fees, we will send you a receipt. You then need to apply for a Student Visa to study at Nelson College; this application must be accompanied by our conditional offer of place letter and fees receipt. You will also need to provide proof of financial support and a return air ticket.

To apply for your Student Visa through the Immigration New Zealand website you will need to:

  • complete the visa application form
  • provide evidence of financial support
  • pay the Student Visa application fee.
  • Your passport
  • the offer of place letter and receipt for fees paid issued by the school

NB. If a course of study is three months or less a Visitor’s Visa may be sufficient. Please check with the school first.

Step 4: Medical Insurance Cover

Medical Insurance is compulsory. Nelson College will organise this through UniCare, with whom we hold a Master Policy. This policy has additional cover for protection of fees. Your policy must be arranged before you leave your home country.  You may arrange your own Medical Insurance although the school reserves the right to check this policy complies with New Zealand standards.

I honestly have to admit, I never enjoyed school so much as I did and still do at Nelson College. School has turned into a great place since I am in New Zealand. It’s where many things happen and you meet your friends. The teachers are great, making lessons really interesting and actually making it fun to learn. I will always remember my time at Nelson College, maybe as one of the greatest of my life.
