The Careers Hub consists of the Gateway/Trades Academy office and the Careers office. These are located in A Block, opposite the Student Office.
The Careers Hub provides:
- a range of course information from various universities and tertiary providers
- work experience and work readiness preparation such as CV and interview preparation
- connecting students with Industry Training Organisations (regarding apprenticeship training).
- information about and registration for career events
Our Careers Advisor is an expert in assisting students with the university enrolment processes, scholarships applications and applying for tertiary accommodation. We have a high acceptance rate due to both the calibre of our students and the detailed support provided by our Careers Advisor.
Our goal is for all of our students to leave Nelson College armed with the skills they need to find their place in the world, and to navigate the ever changing working landscape so they find success in their chosen pathway
