As autumn finally starts to welcome the winter chill, I look forward to Saturdays on the sidelines supporting our winter sports codes. A passionate sportsman myself way back in those halcyon school days, I can recall the excitement of preparing for a weekend match and getting muddy and wet on a regular basis.
There is nothing like team sport to build camaraderie and school spirit. Saturday was always my favourite day of the school week in the winter, although the weekly teaching days were also stimulating and enjoyable (most of the time!)
