Te Reo Māori

Embark on a transformative journey through Te Reo Māori at Nelson College, where language meets culture to shape futures. Open to students from Year 9 to Year 13, these courses welcome all, from complete beginners to those with prior knowledge.

Te Reo Māori not only hones core skills in speaking, writing, comprehension, and listening but also deepens understanding of Māori culture, fostering appreciation for diverse worldviews. Starting with introductory lessons in Year 9 and advancing to performance elements in Te Ao Haka, this programme builds practical language mastery alongside cultural insights.
