Theatresport

Our Senior Theatresports team cleaned up at the Theatre Royal on Thursday night. Nelson-Tasman regional comps with teams coming from as far away as Collingwood Area School.

Team consisted of Myer van Gosliga, Sean Young (Capt) and Jake Danson – they’ll be off to CHCH next to rep our region at the South Island Champs. (Louis Laws was unwell but is usually in the team)

The Junior team also did well and came third on the Friday night. The team consisted of Dan Merry (Capt), Burgess  Mills, James Crosbie, Rohan O’Neil-Stevens and Hugo Peckham.

Congratulations to Luke Walton and David van der Velden for all the hours and hours of practise and hard work you put in with these guys.

National Cross Country Results

Year 9 individual: Max Meffan 4th, Nick Matthews 17th, Ben Allan 27th. Year 9 Three man team: Max Meffan, Nick Matthews and Ben Allan 2nd. Year 9 Six man team: Max Meffan, Nick Matthews, Ben Allan, Cody Beaumont, Sam Mead, Jordan Newsome 2nd.

Senior individual: Sam Mackay-Wright 29th, Josh Barry 38th, Max Winterton 44th.

Gymnastics   Marlborough Championships.

Level 6:             Josiah Kirk – all-round bronze medal

William Fu-Allen – all round silver medal (prep)

Level 8:              Sam Fu-Allen – all round gold medal

All 3 have qualified for the National Championships on their first competition of the year
