“Skills for NCEA” sessions for the year 11 boys
These sessions will be run during the timetabled resit class Wednesdays period 5, starting this coming Wednesday 15/3/17. These sessions are important for the boys as they are to help them learn more about NCEA, how to use their time wisely, how to reduce stress, improve their chance of success and how to make it through the year while still being able to enjoy school and their life outside of school.
Please see below for the timetable of sessions that will be held over the next four weeks. It is expected that all year 11 students attend the sessions and your support with this is appreciated.
1. Week 7 – Introduction – NCEA, organisation, importance of etc
2. Week 8 – Study skills – ways to, hints, tips etc
3. Week 9 – Time management and learning styles – using to your advantage
4. Week 11 – School/life balance and looking after yourself – making sure you get through the year
